I've always wondered which of these two manga ka's ART do people prefer. Since they're both very good artists.
As we all know, Yuu watase is famous for her Manga/Anime Fushigi Yugi. She's also the brains behind Ayashi No ceres, Imadoki, Zettai Kareshi [Absolute Boyfriend] and others. her titles are classified under Shoujo.
Ai Yazawa on the other hand is the mangaka behind Paradise Kiss, NANA, Gokinjo Monogatari. etc. her manga are mostly classified under Josei.
So which of the two's [ART STYLE] do you prefer [appeals to you more?]?

| I'm not really a fan of yuu watase.Sometimes her work is not too bad but it's not my cup of tea. Very often i think it's stupid because the main caracter ( in general) a girl cry at anytime!!!!!! |

| I'm not a fan of either of the artwork style of these two manga authors, but if I have to choose I would rather choose Ai Yazawa. There's just something of Yuu Watase's style that disgusts me. |

| I honestly like both of their art, but i personally prefer Yuu Watase's more, her art is more realistic. Ai Yazawa's art is more based on fashion, but what I hate is when she always make the characters look anorexic. |

I agree that both are awesome and I have both mangaka's books. Imadoki and Absolute Boyfriend and Fushigi Yugi Anime from Watase sensei. And Paradise Kiss and Nana manga from Yazawa sensei. Thus I can't really vote on this. I tried doing the pro's and cons thing but it doesn't work. lol. :icon_laughing: |

I personally like Ai Yazawa better because her art is more contemporary compared to Yuu Watase. Yuu Watase's art is pretty typical of a shoujo mangaka. Big eyes, etc.
It's true that Yuu Watase is probably more popular than Ai Yazawa tho. |
